In a tragic accident involving a hot-air balloon last Sunday (16.08.2020), the balloon and basket were blown into the hillside above the Rhine, federal highway 9 and a railroad line after an unsuccessful landing with several passengers. Due to the inaccessibility, the basket with the balloon envelope could not be recovered after the rescue work was completed. After preparatory work on the slope and the closure of the railroad tracks and the B9, the basket and balloon were recovered today using our GROVE GMK 6300L with long jib.
