This data is not personal and is therefore processed in anonymised form. Information of this kind is used exclusively for statistical purposes and is used by us to optimise our website. 3. COOKIES

We use so-called cookies on various pages to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. However, we would like to point out that our website and service will only have limited functionality if you do not allow us to set cookies.

3.1 WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and that save certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Basically, there are 2 different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your data carrier for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to customise our websites and our offers for you and makes it easier for you to use them, for example by saving certain entries you make so that you do not have to keep repeating them.

3.2 WHICH COOKIES DOES THE WEBSITE USE?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (hence session cookies). Session cookies are required, for example, to offer you the shopping basket function across several pages. We also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. On a subsequent visit, it is then automatically recognised that you have already visited us and which entries and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifespan 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the specified time. These cookies in particular serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, to display information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests. The sole purpose of these cookies is to customise our website to best meet your needs and to make your browsing experience as convenient as possible.

3.3 WHAT DATA IS STORED IN THE COOKIES?

Only pseudonymised data is stored in the cookies we use. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number and your personal data is not assigned to this identification number. Your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be assigned to you are not stored in the cookie. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymised information, for example about which pages of our website have been visited, etc.

3.4 HOW CAN YOU PREVENT THE STORAGE OF COOKIES?

Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser so that it notifies you as soon as cookies are sent. As a rule, the help function in the menu bar of your web browser will show you how you can reject new cookies and switch off cookies you have already received. You also have the option of deleting the stored cookies from your hard drive at any time. The use of cookies is necessary in order to be able to complete an order. Limited use of our services is also possible without cookies. We recommend that you always log out completely when you have finished using shared computers.

4. LOG FILES

You can visit our website without providing any personal details. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is analysed exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.
Each time our website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The stored data records contain the following data Date and time of access, name of the page accessed, IP address, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to the web pages), the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information of the browser used. The IP addresses of users are deleted or anonymised at the end of use. In the case of anonymisation, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and labour.
We analyse these log file data records in anonymised form in order to further improve our website and make it more user-friendly, to find and rectify errors more quickly and to manage server capacities. For example, we can track the times when the website is particularly popular and make the corresponding data volume available to ensure that you can make your purchase as quickly as possible. In addition, by analysing the log files, we can also identify and rectify any errors in the website more quickly.
